Hi Folks,
Our unfortunate turn could be your benefit! The Guild Studio School in
Easthampton, MA is going out of business. We were a not for profit art
organization for the last 14 years, but could not seem to raise our student
numbers and donation funds up to earlier levels after the election and the
war in Iraq...
We are located just 30 minutes north of Springfield MA, 20 minutes north of
the MASS turnpike - (I-90) near I-91. 2 1/2 hours from Boston area, less
than 3 hours from New York, NY (traffic dependant)
Our loss could be your gain.
We have many items for sale:
One L&L JD 2927HD (eqivalent to the newer E28T?) This kiln is in excellent
condition and retails for around $2500 without shelves. You can submit your
bid that will include 3 layers of shelves and posts. Computer controlled
with dynaflo complete with the kilns booklet. I believe it was new in 2001.
It has general signs of use, but no broken brick or damage of any kind and
shelves are used, but have much life in them.
One L&L 7 cu' manual control (3 knobs 1-11 range) in excellent condition for
an older kiln. Minor brick chips, but all in all and excellent kiln with 1"
shelves included. Retails fro about $1400 -
Small kiln - about 2 cu' with 4 horizontally oriented switches lid is free -
unhinged without the hinge present. In very nice older condition and an
excellent firing small kiln.
ALL KILN ELEMENTS ARE GOOD AND HAVE BEEN REPLACED within 4 years. Large L&L
has been fired to ^7 but rarely - usually ^04 for all kilns.
Also: 8 pacifica GT400 pottery wheels - again, only 4 years old.
1 Brent C wheel - works fine, but the pedal needs adjustment or ??
1 Bailey ST-100 wheel in excellent condition - only a few years old
1 Randall non-motorized kick wheel with EXCELLENT bearings, no rust
and no tray.
Slab roller (blue 22" by north star) only missing the actual handle -
the crank bar is there, but the handle is not on it.
Glaze materials - most materials for Low fire electric glazes - no
albany or other cool materials - these are in blue 18gal tubs and
range from 10 lbs to 50 lbs or more.
Plasti-bats - the flat kinds without ridges with bat pin holes.
There are about 20 of these.
FREE! Dry low fire red earthenware for recycling - about 500 lbs in
buckets and tubs. Take it away! both locally made and from Sheffield
Pottery - #10723?
Please contact me for a request for other equipment in the space that must
be sold. You can make bids (be aware that these are excellent materials and
equipment and that many people are bidding on them. You can get a good
price, but you will not get a nearly new pacifica wheel for $50!)
All items must be picked up as early as possible after winning the bids.
You may make one offer for the whole lot! We'll consider a package deal.
Send your bids to guildstudioschool@earthlink.net
This is the last support we will ask for!
Thank you,
Andrew Francis

My cat died, the dog has diarrhea, my daughter-in-law and my daughter both
had baby girls instead of baby boys, and the kids at school have been a real
pain this year and now I know why, it was the election and the war in
Iraq.......

Hi Andrew,
I am in Bellows Falls VT and can come down immediately to take the
smallest kiln off your hands and maybe buy some other stuff.
