Part of the reason I decided to live and work in Mashiko was to be
informed by the land and the agricultural cycles here.

Jean found me a used mountain bike at the Kururinkan (used goods store
associated with our burner and recycle center.) It is a gem, only cost
$12.00. Got lost on the way home from the store this morning, but I took
several photos, including one of some acid jars in a back yard I saw
while driving down an alley. At my teacher's workshop, the bottom off
these jars were cracked off and everyone but Sensei used them as their
throwing bowls. You can see here:
