Dear Group,
A.I.R. Vallauris is a non-profit artist in residency program in the south
of France, situated between Cannes and Nice. Vallauris has a history rich
in ceramic creation, which attracted Picasso to the area in the 1950's.
The intent of our program is to provide an environment for visiting
artists that offers the opportunity to research and create new work and to
meet and collaborate with local artists.
The residence is located in the Place Lisnard in the old town of Vallauris
in a completely restored "Maison de Village". It consists of a gallery,
common lounge and kitchen. WIFI internet access is also available.
The A.I.R. studios are situated 100m from the residence.
The residency period is for 2 months, each artist having an appartment,
and access to the studio. As and when appropriate, an exhibition is
organized for the artist at the end of the residency.
We are now accepting applications for our 2006 residencies.
