Bonnie, I much enjoyed your post about mixing your own clay. Sounds like a
lot of work and time. However it peaked my interest, and I will try it when
time allows. I also fire with an electric and I am satisfied with the
results. However, I have helped fire a wood burning kiln a couple of times
at my friends pottery in Seagrove, NC. Seeing the fire flaming out of the
stack and licking the glowing pots...the smell of the wood burning...the
sound of the fire...and the intense almost unbearable heat...It stirs my
soul.
