I have spent the better part of two years
With a project....To build a structure to
Function as a studio/kiln room/glaze/material
Storage.
Got the idea of the building from the cover
Of a book....managed to get the plans and
Structure through the city planning dept....
3 months of building and a test of my patience...
I am about to be able to start moving in....
Have planted the bamboo on the east side...
I figure that the plants will provide my
Material for brushmaking in the future...
I give it a few years...let the bamboo get
Established...the row of bamboo will be my
Zone of calm...the plants were first planted
By my Grandmother...I think about 100 years ago...
I transplanted the bamboo into pots and have
Been moving them with me...as I moved residences...
When I was wheeling a pot down the street, a
Few years ago...the pot on a furniture dolly....
Someone who drove by...pulled out their camera
And took a photograph...ah yes...the folks in
Town are an eccentric lot....you know...they
Take their plants out for a walk....
So...I posted few images of the studio...
