This makes me wonder why adult discussions of Beauty always find someone =
coming
to the conclusion that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Now, this=
is not
using the word beauty in the same sense that Shruti Indiresan did. But r=
eally,
if someone in kindergarten can reason to conclusions about difficult conc=
epts,
why do adults accept that cop out about beauty being in the eye of the be=
holder.
- yes, there are cultural inputs,
- yes, there is the element of personal taste,
But still, the eye of the beholder argument is a cop out for those who do=
not
want to, or have the energy to, or have the skill to ask hard questions a=
bout
what they are looking at, especially their own work. I know, it is hard f=
or me
to do that. Still, asking those questions and trying to find objective an=
swers
is the way we grow.
