I had the lovely experience to attend a workshop at the Hambidge
near the Georgia North Carolina border last week; the location was just
beautiful and the price good. I would rank this up there with the Laloba
Ranch in Colorado workshop that I did 4-5 years ago. Ellen Shankin did a
splendid job; she did several demonstrations and gave a lot of hands on
help; Ellen did a splendid job and is a wonderful person and I would
recommend her workshops to all without hesitation in whatever location. I
liked the Hambidge location and facility so much, I decided to return in
August for a workshop by Randy Brodnax from August 1-5. They do not have
on-site boarding; I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Dillard, GA. A bonus for me
was the fulfillment of a life-long dream --- driving thru the mountains
listening to classical music [Samuel Barber's Adagio] in a convertible. Only
downside is that I didn't have my wife and two Maltese puppies a defect that
will be corrected in Aug.
