first.
the earth was over kill. we just did not know
if the kiln may want to creep out...weight, buttress etc.
donovan just wanted to make sure.
it did not creep out.
second.
the undulations are rather an artistic expression.
the biggest problem we had at the end of the
building was.....what is it.
a whale.
a dead elephant.
a boat upside down.
a nordic sailing boat capsized.??????
so, some artistic expression was given to the shape.
it is also...not a perfect barrel arch. (close)
the sand mold allowed donovan some artistic expression.
and we stoke this kiln from the front.
two spy ports on the sides...and a hole in the top for
a digital pyrometer.
the pix are just coming in from colleen...i will add an interior
pix soon.
