Hiya;

Congrats to Jacqui who won the grand raffle and got a cup. I sat next to
her and also won a book of Korean Art at the raffle.

It was a nice surprise to meet Janet Kaiser and himself, as well as
Suzanna and husband coming in from Boston, MA

We did the clayart exchange at the cafe on Saturday night. Avril showed
me some beautiful glaze test with rare earth oxide. Jenny Lewis showed
us photos of her new studio. Russel, as usual, the chocolate. Ruth
brought us extra pies and pudding from the buffet. Then we all rushed
off to see the 'Impossible Ice Kiln' by Peter Lange [NZ]

The kiln area was so packed and I couldn't see anything. Instead, I went
to the main dinning hall to see the Live8 concert broadcast from Hyde Park.

It was good to see how clay is worked on in all sorts of ways in
different parts of the world.

Thank you May for those exciting pictures.
I really enjoyed seeing the kilns, especially
Wali Hawes' Vaxhall car kiln and the shopping cart raku
kiln.
Interesting stuff, looked like a great show. Your
very considerate to share with us.

If you haven't viewed May's photos yet your
missing out.
