Yes, Phil, I've been a Happy Witness to some of
your in-person twinkling-eyed forays into ranting.
You are a Funny Guy and an enjoyable, interesting
companion, without a doubt. That's a Funny Guy
as in a Guy Full of Humor.....=20
I am well aware that
if Kelly, Jean Lehman, Liz, Billie and I (among others)
had been listening in Real Time, we'd all have been
laughing and encouraging you to continue... until
the wee hours.
But THEN nobody would have been offended nor
the brunt of anybody's careless humor turned
ugly..... even mildly so.
AND my dirt road is ready to welcome you anytime
you wander by for a cup-uh, or a glass-uh. Since I
am continuing to be a Non-Cook in this New Phase
of my life, you'll have to settle for ice-cream or
buttermilk or sourcherry juice.
In fact, in this stage I am a non-babysitting and
non-cooking great-grandmother. The generations
between are rather aghast as they've filled the
little ones with tales of mom's or grandmom's
laden tables - with everything (to hear them tell it)
Made From Scratch. That was then; this is now.
They're getting used to it. =20
However, I continue to read aloud to anyone under
three feet (well, a little more... we're a tall family.
Our babies arrive at almost two feet.).. anyone
under three feet who is hauling around a book
looking for Somebody to Read to Me. AND I will
take as many as six out to lunch at a pizza place.
The New Parents look a bit worried until they recall
that there was a time when I handled the behavior
of some 1600 teenagers..... and was Paid to do so!
