Hi All -
I have a friend who needs help identifying the maker of a lovely
celadon pitcher he received as a gift while working in Japan.
He received it in very formal circumstances.
They explained it at the time as the work of a retired potter, but he
did not really understand and did not want to keep asking lest it
begin to seem rude.
The pitcher is lovely and he is anxious to learn all he can about it.
E-mail me off list and I will send images of the pot and the words
written on the box it was presented in.
