John Parker (New Zealand)
http://www.artnews.co.nz/previous/22-4/22-4-feature01.html
(More on lathe turned work - Parker, who throws and lathe turns
white-firing porcelain for that "industrial look" is, IMO, deliberately
ironic in his approach to his craft. "I’m trying to turn out fake
machine made stuff - it’s fine, crisp and regular and has all the
hallmarks of an industrial finish. I turn the throwing marks off my
pieces so you don’t necessarily know they are hand made." says Parker.
His work is compared in this article with that of fellow New Zealand
potter Len Castle.

DeBorah Goletz (West Milford, NJ, USA)

(Clayarter who works in wood-fired functional ware, sometimes
salt-glazed and has completed tile-built public murals in the New York
Subway System)

Mary Curtis and Duncan Martin (Double Springs Pottery and Duncan
Pottery) (Fayetteville AK, USA)
http://www.doublespringspottery.com/
(Salt glazed functional ware a specialty)

Mike Lyda (Concord, NC, USA)
http://mike.lyda.com/
(Lyda now works as a sculptor in cast iron and bronze, and has done
work in the digital art field, but at an earlier point he made
ceramics, including crystalline-glazed porcelain. Some of this work is
shown in the "Old Work" directory under "ceramics.")

Catalina Artist's Studio Tour (Catalina, AZ, USA)

(Clayarter Gayle Bair is a member, and so is Brenda Beeley)

Beverly Magennis (USA)
(Leslie Levy Fine Art)

(Sculptural pieces - figural)
(Collector's Guide: Outdoor Art)

Dan Weaver (Gouldsboro, ME, USA)

(Wheel Thrown Bathroom Sinks - process photos in black and white, and
catalogue including this type of basin)

Helen
Who had rain and cool weather for 2 days in Belleville while her
daughter sweltered in Toronto, but is now paying for it with a
hot-hot-humid day (I know, it's nothing like the Mojave, Joyce and
Phil), so TG for the A/C.)

Just a plug for Bev, here - she's the one who did the
backsplash tiles for the Infamous Paris Putti Urinal
which I mentioned last week.

Her house is mosaicked(?) on every surface both inside
and out - a local landmark and a treat for those who've
been inside. The yard is also mosaic - clay flowers and
shrubs, in (naturally) clay pots, with mosaic tile
'grass'. In a climate where growing grass takes a major
output of time and money, this is a great (and rather
practical) yard!)
