Amen, the only thing worse is arriving at a show and finding you'll be
spending the next four days in close proximity with the potpourri, fragrant
soap, body oils person.....

I'll second that loud and clear. I have this theory that if you walk in a
gift shop or gallery and you smell incense, scented candles, or potpourri,
you might as well just turn around and leave because it is unlikely that you
will find anything distinctive there.

Hi all!

Chris wrote a good post on having a home studio sale, but I have one
request - nix the potpourri! I can't tell you many shops I have
walked in and straight out because of potpourri or scented candles
that drive my allergies crazy. I know I am not alone on this!

O you are WAY not alone. Anything other than food-type smells is too much
at an opening, I think. OTOH, some good baking smells go a long way....
