Do you mean 'Which glaze base recipes are good to
add colorant oxides to, to make a colored glaze?',
or, 'Which glazes are good to paint oxides on top
of as an added decoration?'

Since there are a million different glazes out there,
the answer to both these really is, 'try it and see'.
Honest; not trying to duck the question, but since
there are so many variables: glaze recipes, oxide
concentrations, and your intentions, only you can
really say what works for you and what doesn't. If
you could give us a better idea of what you want to
end up with, though, we can maybe point you in the
right direction (or several right directions, more
likely). :)

One good starting point is June Perry's website

http://www.angelfire.com/art2/shambhalapottery/oxidewashes.html

(that has to be all in the address together) on
oxides.

Tova, please don't take this as a rebuke, but the question you are asking is
one that will give you the much excitement and suspense in discovering for
yourself by doing your own tests.

Try oxide brushwork over various glazes, also try oxides on greenware, try
many things and when you open the kiln and see good or bad results, you'll
know what you want to explore further.

Best of luck,
