I've been getting an e-mail from them. It's not blank but it might as well be all it says is:

Yes, I received a blank email from the Potter's Council. Anyone know what's
up?

Looks like an open tag in the HTML. It is making the email bomb out.

I sent Susan Enderle (from whose e-mail address it originated) a
note that asked her to "check for an open tag."
It's an HTML thing, according to Gail, our very own guru of
gigabytes. (Is guru an androgynous noun?)

Me? I recognize a tag only when it's advertising a price, and then
I'm usually in the midst of going catatonic from the shock of it.

They will straighten it out come Monday, no doubt.

Wayne, et al -

This 'open tag' thing is just a guess. And stop it already with the guru thing. There are people on this list who can run circles around me with this stuff.

I have no existing relationship with the Potter's
Council, and I got the e-mail. My guess is someone is
hunting for valid e-mail addresses to spam.

Ooh! That's a good guess, too! Probably better than mine.
