Jonathan asked about a c.2 trans.

I do not have one on hand. BUT:

Karen Stevens' O4 trans:

Frit 3134 55.56
Kaolin 23.81
Flint 20.63

MOPE 2 (based on a Hobart Cowles glaze) c.6

Frit 3134 52.4
Kaolin 38
Flint 10

(MOPE 2 with 10% tin makes a loverly white. TOVA, YO! if this is the temp
you fire at, this is purty with blue brushwork.)

Now, dear ones, this is so embarrassingly simple. Jonathan is looking for a
c.2 trans. Jonathan: your notebooks are FULL of recipes with the SAME
ingredients, in different proportions, for identical effects at different
temps..

NO MATTER WHAT one has to TEST new glazes to adjust them to one's own clay,
slips and like that.

So: Mix up a batch of each of these glazes, make a straight line blend, pick
the one that works.

It is that easy. THAT easy. I repeat and repeat. There is no mystery to
glaze. Only patience. EVERY recipe has been PUBLISHED.

PLEASE: think stew. You take a basic recipe and DOCTOR it to suit YOU. The
same is true of glaze. As to firing methods; Yes they do affect results.
But, back to stew, you can bake it in a casserole, you can slowcook it, you
can use your stove top....
