Hello Potters,

Below is a description of our October workshop with Steven Hill.

What makes a pot functional? How can pottery transcend mere function,
while still honoring it's intended use? In this two day workshop, Steven
will throw and alter pots, demonstrate slip trailing, and use the
extruder; all the while communicating his enthusiasm and passion for
functional stoneware and single firing.

Steven Hill received his BFA from Kansas State University in 1973. Since
that time he has been a professional studio potter, with his home and
studio located in Kansas City, Missouri. Steven's work is exhibited and
sold in nationally juried shows and is featured in many ceramics books.

When:

Friday, Oct 28, 2005 7:30-9:00pm slides/artist reception

Is this in Stamford, CT?

One of my pet peeves is advertisements for a workshop or an item for sale
that do not PROMINANTLY indicate where it is. My personal belief is FULL
location, dates and even cost should be listed at the very top. Sorry to go
off on a rant about this, but I really find it very annoying to not know the
basics until you open the full e-mail, read it entirely, just to find you
can't afford it or its too far away.
