Marcia,
What are diapads ?
Some kind of diapers ?
I usually buff up my unclothed raku with old T-shirts or cottonrags.

These are plastic with dots of diamond impregnate, which come in grades
from 70 grit to 1600 grit. Used with a backing pad for granite
countertop finishing, but potters have found uses without the backing
pads as the plastic can wrap around curves.

Master Wholesale in Seattle used to have them, this is what they have
now.

backingpads.

Diapads are finishing sanding pads with diamond abrasive used mostly
by stone workers.
Hank gave a good website source for them. They come in various grits
and have a foam spongy backing mike a scrubby pad.
They are a 3M product.
