Just wanted to share this opportunity with interested parties on ClayArt.
In January 2006, Francis Marion University (Florence, South Carolina, USA)
will be hosting a juried exhibition of contemporary ceramic art. The
exhibition is entitled SKIN DEEP and aims to showcase the variety, richness,
and beauty of ceramic surfaces, particularly as they pertain to function,
aesthetics, and/or concept. We hope to include work from the broadest
spectrum of forms, functional to sculptural; techniques, traditional to
experimental; and styles, historical to contemporary.
The juror for this exhibition is Val Cushing and there will be a minimum of
$1000 available for merit and purchase awards. Entry will be by slide and
the deadline for submision is November 11, 2005.
