Just erased your email address-sorry

Top 'o the mornin', Charles

Thank you for replying. I am glad to hear that you are
feeling/doing better. The pain is a pain, but what
marvelous technology the human mind, through
cooperation, has developed!

I will be able to retreive the fax next Monday, when
my husband Carl is in his office again. I look forward
to it. The kiln may be hooked ujp sometime later next
week.

The"room" is an old pony shed, board and batten with
one thick, solid field-stone wall, a 1 ft new cement
floor over stones and dirt. Three beams rund
horizontally and every 4 feet there are vertical
beams. We cut throught the tolp half of one section,
closest to the kiln, and made it so it can be propped
up & outward. Across the kiln we cut two full panels
)floor to ceiling). They are operated with a pully and
can be lowered to the ground, letting in a lot of
light as well. The double-door size opening stays
open. Then there will be a triple-insulated stack and
hood. I have a feeling that it will do. It's a great
place to work: breeze, natural light and a lovely view
of no-man's fields, a plethora of birds, deer, hawks,
eagles and bear the only inhabitants. Who ever said
that Pennsylvania, 2 hrs from Manhattan, is heavil;y
populated? By whom??

I have bought a blackboard, which I will hang close to
the kiln. I intend to transfer the records to a
permanent log. (I'm a jounal freak but not terribly
organized...guess I will learn, the hard way or
otherwise) and I will keep your advice at heart.
I'll let you know how everything is going!

Best wishes,

Marianne

To Jingle Bells:

Dashing through the shed
I trip over my clay
through the air my work
goes flying every day.

This should help me learn
that patience has to be
a thing that I must learn if all the world will have
to see
mmyyyyy...

pots and bowls, lumps and plates,
salt shakers to boot.
Special objects no one knows whatto call them -bad or
goood,
Pots and bowls, lumps and plates,
platters no one needs
All to help me satisfy more greenware to create.
