It was really wonderful to participate in the Daley workshop at the
Bray. He always wanted to visit there. He said it was like being in a
living history of ceramics. Bill was my teacher in 1967-70. He is now
80 and going strong leading yoga sessions an hour before our workshop
everyday! It was great to hear his retrospective lecture of his
artwork in clay from pots to handbuilt vessels vis modular murals.
His 2.5 hour critique added such depth to all of our perceptions of
each others' work, it was wonderful. Technique is one things in which
virtuosity manifests but it is diminished without elevated ideas.
