A simple safety check for all of those who own kilns that plug into an
outlet.
Each time you check the progress of the firing, lay your hand on the plug.
It will be warm to the touch, but should not be hot.
A hot plug may indicate an issue with corrosion or other problems that may
lead to melting of plastic parts, or a fire.
Just a good habit to get into.
