Hello,
There are still some spaces in the workshop this weekend and next.
August 13, 14 and 20, 21.
The workshop on Throwing large forms the easy way and saggar firing
runs the next two Saturdays and Sundays taught by Rick Mahaffey.
Saturdays from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and Sundays from 10:00 am to 3:00
pm.
The cost is $280.00 this includes some clay (50 - 75 lbs.)
TCC is located at So 12 th St and Mildred streets. The workshop is in
the Art Building, building 5 which is at the North end of Campus near
the 12th St. entrance.

The studio phone is: 253-566-5346.
It is Ok to sign up on Saturday.
There is also a woodfire ceramics show at the Gallery at TCC which
opens on Monday the 15th until the 26th. There will be an Artist's
reception on Friday the 19th from 4 pm until 7 pm.

I attended this workshop and am so pleased with all I have learned. I would
encourage anyone interested, to attend a future workshop with Rick
Mahaffey. I asked tons of questions about the workshop techniques and other
areas that were not part of the workshop and Rick was generous with his
knowledge answering and drawing diagrams to help me on my way. I can now
throw large pieces with confidence and I love my saggar fired work. Thank
you Rick. Btw... those large pieces that I finished throwing yesterday made
it safely home.
