I know exactly what you mean. I ended up having to switch to a full
face mask/respirator so that the seal is around the outside of my face
instead of the nose/cheek area. Even with this mask, I have had to add
my own reinforcement around the edges (just stuck in some paper towel to
push out the rubber seal around my face) to get the sides to totally
seal. But it works like a dream and I don't feel like I am splitting my
face apart when I wear it. In fact, it's so comfortable I forget I have
it on at times.
The mask I purchased I got online from Gempler (best deal I could find
at the time ).
3M 6800 Full Face Mask--Size Medium (small is for small--VERY small children--I tried it first)
Hope this information helps.
