Dear Clayart,

It is with pleasure that I can invite you to look at my website again, at

www.alisapots.dk

Gail Phillips and I worked together on it over the summer and now it is
ready.

It was a real advantage to wok together with Gail, not only because she is a
wizard

Web designer, but because she is also a potter. There were days when Gail
would write,

"Did you just send me 19 emails"? She could put it all together because she
knows what I am talking about. If I had to revise recipes and materials,
she could do it without writing a foreign language. She has been super
great to work with, and her work is super great.

A few things about the site.

It was my foremost wish for Gail to be able to make me a virtual glaze
notebook. Just like my real notes, I have categories by color and surface.
That is always how I have filed my glaze tests and are able to find them
again. Gail was able to work it out for me on the site, as you can see when
you visit the glaze test pages. I am really happy with the result, as it
exactly how I described to her I would like to see it. She is really a
professional, able and easy to work along side of.

In the future I will add recipes as they work for me, after the testing.
Obviously, I have only included the tests that have worked for me in the big
batches, otherwise I would have loads of brown glazes to show. I would like
this to be a reference for possible glazes people can try. I have only
included the recipes by weight for now, but when I have another 2 months to
work on this site, it could be that I include unity formula. For those who
can work it out, either by hand or program, please do so. The ingredients
are not always exact, as to what type of Ball Clay, or even Feldspar.
Obviously again, I know what types I have used. However, I thought it may
also be a service to let people try their local materials and work it out
from there, as I have. I think it has been a great learning curve and I
thank everyone on Clayart helping me to understand more and more, my glaze
tests and experiments.

I am not selling anything. The site is purely informational. Hope you can
use some of it.

Best regards from Alisa in Denmark

OK ladies...you have really done it. May I just say that thank you just
doesn't seem to be enough. Alisa, your contributions to glaze testing are
legend and now Gail has made access to this information so seamless and
enjoyable. I especially like the way the larger picture of the test
automatically shows at the right of the buttons as you move through them.
Saves so much time...don't have to open each one and wait till it loads.
What a genius, Gail! We are going to have to get Wayne to make you a Wizard
hat...right up his alley! You both have brought such an amazing resource to
those of us who work at ^6. Right now I just have to say THANK YOU!
I have some tests of my own I would like to put out there...the pictures are
taken, now I just have to write them up. I will use our Clayart photosite
if it is possible. No, Gail, not ready for my own site yet...still
crawling...literally and figuratively!
The best to both of you,
Dolita in Kentucky...(not that there would be a Dolita anywhere else)
