the cadaver show opens in florida.
dead bodies...stripped of skin.
as art.
I saw the exhibit in Chicago. It was fascinating. It was at the Science
and Industry Museum and I didn't see it advertised as "art". I could only see
the extreme teaching potential in all of it. I didn't find it gross or
morally unacceptable, just interesting. I imagined early artists using cadabers
to learn about bodies but didn't equate it as art. I have a sister in Florida
and she has told me they are trying to block it there. What a shame. It is
scheduled to be at their science museum also not a gallery. I would
reccomend it, but as always that is just my opinion. Take what you like and leave
the rest. Dawn
