I called brown refractories this week to price # 1 arch brick and found it
to be double what i had paid 1 year ago. They are now asking $ 5.00 for
each brick. I had to pick myself off the floor when he gave me the price. I
ended up getting the same brick at Shafer Furnace co. in Dayton for $2.39 a
brick. I do believe gas prices are starting to play in on brick prices. By
now while you can still afford to.
Brian Haviland PS: 2600 Deg. was the rating of the brick and straights
were the same price.
Yes Gas prices WILL drive some of us out of business. One way or another.......
