Hi Gang,

Does anyone know of anyone who does Brent wheel repairs in the
Gainesville/Ocala area of Florida. I think the lightning capital of the world claimed
another victim solid-state component board.

Thanks,

Gary:
Axner is up near you. You might call them for a referral. They will =
know
who to call.

If it turns out that lightning was indeed the culprit, I strongly urge =
you
to contact your local electrician ASAP.
There are "whole house" surge suppressors that your electrician can =
install
right on the meter can (the box where your electric meter is located). =
It
costs about $50 for the part and an hour labor. Our electrician charges =
us
$175. That's a real deal, considering the cost of the electronics we =
have
in the house. It's a small thing, too, smaller than a pack of =
cigarettes,
mounts right on the box. =20

We have ours replaced every year (just in case) and since 1995, voila!, =
no
more replacing the refrigerator, TV, computers, telephones, and =
everything
else electronic in the house when lightning decides to "pay a visit".

Well worth the money, as you're about to find out.

Best,
