Hey Jean,
Why rent him out?
Just let him do his thing, get a snazzy bag,
put a couple handfuls in each, slap on a
label with a catchy name like "Exclusive T.P. Bunter Shredding"
and sell it for $5 a bag. You'll make million$!

Subject: making paper clay
For those of you who make your own paper clay and use toilet paper -
my cat Bunter can shred a roll of TP faster than a buzz saw.
I'm thinking of renting him out. What do you suppose I could get for
a cat/hour?

Dear Jean,
Rather than renting out your cat, I would suggest you do the workshop circuit and have your cat teach other cats to shred TP for their potter owners. That way you don't miss the company of your cat and you get a better rate for your cat's work. ;-)
Sound crazy? Many years ago I had a neighbor whose cat used the toilet rather than the litter box. Can't remember whether the cat flushed or not. But not matter. Once her sister came to visit and brought along her cat. The story goes that the visiting sister told the cat who used the toilet to teach her cat to use the toilet. I was told that by the end of her stay, her cat, too, was using the toilet rather than the litter box.

glad to be in Redondo Beach, California USA
preparing (mentally, if no other way) for my first 12 hour night shifts as a nurse - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. I think I'll be pretty tired by the drive home in rush hour traffic Friday morning. Guess I'll just put down the convertible top down and hope I can drive fast enough to keep the air hitting me in the face.

Hey Jean and Claytown:
Your cat has nothing on my two Basenjis. We are charging $7/ basenji
hour. Could be more with cats 'cause Basenjis won't stop at the toilet
paper. Had to replace someone's toilet the other week. Sheeze.

Got four cats myself, that's why I'm thinking about doing the paperclay
process.

I am interested in mixing paper clay in my Bailey MXP-50 mixer/pugmill.
I am wondering if it will be necessary to remove the shredder disc.
Does anyone have experience with this?
