A brief reminder: Kiln shelves ALSO absorb whatever and will do whatever
fuming the kiln walls do. In my limited experience (very) teensy invisible
splatterings of glaze from the bubbling stage do get on shelves and stick to
the kiln wash--or why, in my opinion, kiln wash "ages". So remember--even
if you have a 2nd kiln, that is un-fumed, do not interchange shelves.....
