Hey Tony,

It's great to hear your down-and-dirty, here's the way it is description of
your life at this moment. Thank you so much.

September is a very exciting month for most anyone who's teaching and trying
to sell their work as well. I, for one, have spent Saturdays in Edmonds, WA
9am-3pm (in actuality 7am-4:30pm), Thursday evenings teaching, and 48 hours
spread over 16 days in the Artists in Action section of the Western
Washington State Fair. Don't know if that sounds like a lot to most, but it
does to me.

My husband has just thrown over the work he's done to get his master's
degree (computer related - got to know you must multiply ANY prediction or
estimate of time it takes to accomplish anything times 3 minimum) and
stopped. I'm.............. - I don't know. Three years and some awesome
amount of $$. Amazing. This man has been working with (playing with?)
computers since the beginning - must be 47 or 48 years now. I ran over to
the soccer field behind my studio today and just screamed.

I mention the above because I've considered it part of my September, but I
suspect I needed to consider it sooner.

Your work teaching sounds wonderful - I can tell it's an exceptional
collection of students.

Thanks again for your authenticity - something we can all always count on
you for (bad sentence structure, I know).

I cannot wait to meet you at NCECA next year in Portland.

night. Hoping my tomatoes will all ripen.

Hope I'm more welcome than a turd in a punchbowl or a Walmart super store
after for me a long absence on Clayart. I've been as busy as a ten peckered
billygoat. Back at Sheridan with a class of 17 that are the best i've ever
had and therefore HIGH maintenance. Yesterday I had one group firing a salt
kiln, another a high fire reduction firing, another making clay, another a
gas fired bisque firing, a couple trimming, a couple throwing, a couple
glazing, a young Korean guy that is already making Ongi pots in the 30-40 lb
range. Too many balls in the air to juggle. I came home and poured two
fingers of Knob Creek bourbon and swallowed 2 Advil. I was snoring on the
couch at 9. I was at the school 4 days this week and paid for 10 hours. This
means things at home go to hell in a hand basket. I blew up a bisque here
which meant a couple of grande down the tube because my mind is in the belly
of a whale.
thought I'd check in with ya and tell ya I'm missing y'all but can't spare a
moment.
My youngest gets married next weekend in the Maritimes. Where has 27 years
gone????
cheers,
Tony

Did you turn on the switches to HI instead of LO when you turned it on?
I've done that! Amazing just how tiny smithereens are! The small stuff
survived..

Jennifer who's done just about every stupid thing you can do over the
last 30 yrs.
