They didn't lock, I used a wedge when it was
in place. No problems at all."
Reminds me of the cone 10 gas kiln we fabricated from an old 1027 three ring
Scutt electric kiln. We put it on a dolly so we could roll it our of the
garage to fire it. We didn't chock the wheels, however. When we shut it off
and clammed it up we headed to the house for a beer and to watch football on
TV. Ten minutes later my wife came in laughing so hard she could hardly
speak. Seems the kiln got started rolling somehow and went down the driveway
and tipped over. Pots everywhere, some stuck to the inside of the kiln with
strings of glass everywhere. What a sight. Wish we could have seen it
happen. Would have been quite a show. After that we wedged the wheels. No
more problems.
