I am so excited I want to share this with all of you.
I just got this letter from a woman who is working with
the Mississippi arts Council about a large car kiln I
offered to the Katrina victims.

"I am so happy to say, we have found a shipper who will
move it for free. They will be in contact with us Monday
for the arrangements You have absolutely no idea what
you donation of the kiln has started. Brain Nettles was
given an Army Tent by the Red Cross. They are setting it
up as a communal studio for 15 - 20 potters The
Hattiesburg Art Assn. has given $5000.00 to start
supplying, I know that is just a start, but the saga of
the kiln has opened everyone's minds for alternate ways
of helping. The Miss. Arts Commission has taken this
idea further and we are now trying to set up temporary
studios for different mediums along the coast so that the
artists and craftsmen can start creating while they are
putting the rest of their lives together."

This is so much better than selling the kiln!!!
