I have posted new pictures of the progress being made
on the 80,000 lbs of feldspar ore I am bulk bagging.
I also included a photo of an internally illuminated mug
made with Moose Creek Porcelain for you to see how
translucent it can be! WOW!

This is a request from someone who won't be mixing her own clay
anytime soon.

When all the testing has been done, etc., it would be great if some
of the ceramics suppliers would provide us a clay body using the
Moose Creek Porcelain. I think many of us hobby potters would like
to try it too.

Cheers, Linda

Michael
I was just looking at the photos you linked to on your CLAYART post.
I think what you are doing is exciting , valuable work which benefits
us all, and I wish you success .
I recently had the plesaure of visiting with David Stannard, a
potter who is one of our living treasures of ceramic knowledge and
experience.

He has spent a good many years exploring and testing local materials ,
in Oregon, and for the last 20 or more years, in Alaska.
He has been working with porcelainstones there...

The use of domestic , if not local materials , is where our roots are.
good for you!
