A further thought on air requirements:

It is quite possible that as the orifice in the spray gun wears, a
larger volume of air will be required to give a nice spray. Since my
1.5 hp compressor just keeps pace now with my new Geil sprayer, there
may be a point in the future when I will have to wait for the air tank
to refill.

On the Porter Cable website I noticed that there are different sizes of
orifice kits available for their HVLP gravity feed spray gun. I'm not
sure if they could be used on a Geil spray gun.

The Geil HVLP sprayer took one of the standard connectors, but I ended up
bringing it to the hardware store to get the right one.
