I'd like to thank all the Clayarters who responded with advice on mixing
up test glazes -- how much and what approach to use.
I get Clayart in digest form so I read some responses there and some of
you responded to me individually. I have printed all the suggestions
and will read them all and decide how to go forward. There were some
obvious hints that I hadn't considered before....and some safety
concerns. I have a NIOSH/MSHA Approved mask and separate containers
and equipment so I think I'm covered.
What I didn't expect was several of you talked about an adventure and
fun and an exciting journey. I've been approaching this with
trepidation and wishing I'd paid a lot more attention in that chemistry
class years and years ago. Now I'm longing for some free time (away
from work) to get started!
