Is there any slip mixtures out there that will work like super glue???

Amazing stuff.
Check out www.jerrybennett.net I use the cellulose insulation fibre that
he recommends. Lana Wilson gives information on using toilet paper.
I even use it to fill cracks in bisque.
Forgive me for having posted this info before.
I think P'slip is one of the top ten tricks "every potter should know".
I print out other's posts of info for future ref and keep a "Clayart Book
of Wisdom".
Yes, I do the archives, but once you get in there, it's hard to find your
way out and get
back to work!

From what I've learned through using paper and fiber
clays, the fire resistant properties of cellulose are
boron-based additives. I normally even add a little
boron (borax) to my slips because I work quite
frequently in the dry to late leatherhard stage. The
borax is a low temp. flux which helps my slips adhere
in the initial stages of firing.
I'm curious to know the general amount of boron that
is added to cellulose so I could figure that into my
formulae, but I haven't had any problems with
overfluxing thus far (I use a ^12+ porcelaneous body
at peak ^9-10).
