I just bought an "American Recorder - Photo Studio in a Box" -from Kit's
Camera for $100. It comes with a white tent box, 2 lights with table =
top
stands and a tabletop tripod. I just have to add a graduated background =
to
get the look I want. I searched the web for a better deal.but the =
tripod
alone is worth the money. It is 16x16cx16 so wouldn't be good to =
photograph
really large work...but it may take me some time before I can make =
anything
bigger than 16 inches anyhow. I can replace the tent box with a larger =
one
later.

Well, I heard back from Steve Metzger (did I mention in my last post that h=
e was the guy who wrote "Photographing your Craftwork"... i didnt realize t=
his til after i wrote to him the first time...duh),Anyways, here is what he=
said. "The
best thing to do is bounce the lights off of white posterboard,
umbrellas or even white walls. Moving helps a little but you still get
a spot. Bouncing softens the light."In a post to me, Gayle had mentioned th=
e same thing.he also said the spray on stuff that ClayArtisan suggested was=
"not really" the same as the matte fixative mentioned in my last post in t=
his thread.That's the buzz...Anne
