how do I judge when to pull pot out of the kiln?
When using a glossy glaze, what I look for is for the glaze to look like
honey. I want it to be smooth, thick and clinging to the piece. Bubbles are
an indication that a piece has been over fired. But, also, they can, mean
that you may not have bisqued high or long enough to burn the combustibles
out of your clay. Hence, the gas released is causing the bubbles in the
glaze. If you keep having this problem, I check out the bisquing process.
