Summer Studio Assistantships are available in each of our eight studios: =
Blacksmithing, Ceramics, Fine Metals, Fibers: Surface, Fibers: =
Structure, Wood, Photography and Special Topics.
Assistantship positions generally run the length of the summer workshop =
season (May - September), but may vary from studio to studio as some =
departments prefer to split the summer between two or more assistants. =
Assistants live at Peters Valley and work in the studio, on average, =
35hrs. per week. Responsibilities include but are not limited to =
maintaining the studio, welcoming & preparing for incoming students and =
instructors, etc. In exchange Assistants are provided with room & board =
as well as workshop and exhibition opportunities.
