i put my waste oil burners to the real test last night and from what i can
see looking into all the spyholes everything came out the same as normal
including copper reds.
I am still staying low key about the whole thing because i thought of one
last modification to the system which will greatly improve it, this i will
have done by next week, then i will start posting pictures and details on
my website which will go online soon.
The only unexpected thing that happened was that the burners took a lot
longer to reach temp than i thought and i got off to a late start that day,
so at 2 am i realized it would take several more hours so i made the
decision to hook my LP burners back up for the last couple hours, as i
really could not afford to underfire a load this time of year. But i can
easily get the burners to fire faster if need be, that is part of the mod i
will be doing soon to the system, then it will be an excellent system and
built largely from scavenged materials with only a few select off-the-shelf
items. My system for collecting and filter vegoil is practically automated
as well. I will generally blend in about 10-20% used motor oil and ATF as
well, as i have some small sources for that stuff. But mostly veg oil.
On the whole, the burners are very efficient, no smoke or anything. More
details soon...
