You must know my friend and former student, Marty Geiger, the Kiln
Goddess quenn of Hong Kong!! Please say hello for me.
As for Spain there are several place in Barcelona. The is a
ceramics school in Sevilla but it is pre high school/ or high school
status.
There is a castle in Zamora where ceramics is taught. There is a
school in Manises foscuing for tin glaze decoration.
That is as much as I know.

Zoe,
I suggest you correspond with F. Chapman Baudelot
francoise_chapman@YA.COM
She lives in Spain and has had a difficult time surviving as a potter.
She is from Spain and moved back there after living in Canada
for some years. She can likely advise you regarding studying there.
I don't know if she is on Clayart right now so I'm giving you her contact
info.
Good luck,

Subject: Studying ceramics in Spain: any ideas?
I am interested in studying ceramics full-time in Spain, and was wondering
if anyone had any pointers of where to find out about Fine Art (Ceramics)
courses.
I've been practicing ceramics as a hobby for about five years, and am ready
to make a proper commitment to it. I also ultimately want to live in Spain
(I am British, currently living in Hong Kong). I figure it makes sense to
study where I want to end out (rather than studying in the UK or HK) - as I
will build up contacts and gain an understanding of the local market. I
speak pretty good Spanish, so language shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Any ideas of where to start/advice on good universtities/art schools would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
