The recent thread about pyrometers reminded me to ask...
Has anyone found any (affordable) ways to connect a volt meter to a
computer serial port and log the data?
If you have, please tell me more about your equipment and software.
With such a setup one could automatically log the temperature data over
time, import the table into a spreadsheet and graph the firing. In
principle this would seem fairly straight forward. I'm not an EE, nor a
programmer, so I have not done this on my own. Though I have seen some
web sites with schematics and code to make this work. Those were from a
while ago. I wonder if anyone is making a logging pyrometer yet.
