skutt switch?

updated thu 17 nov 05

I have an old Skutt 1027. Went to fire it this morning and the middle
switch would not come on at the low setting. It would work on high and
medium. Is this something I can fix or am I going to have to order a new
switch?

Thanks for any help..............

Check the wire off the common or number 1 pin. It may be loose.

hey randy,
i've had this happen. here is what i did...

top and bottom switches on low as per your schedule...
when it's time to go to medium...
bottom switch on for 30 minutes...then turn on the middle and top switch
(at this time all switches are on medium).
turn all to high as normal per your firing schedule.

this will get you by until you can replace the switch.

hope this helps.

Randy,
Since one switch has gone bad on you I'd recommend replacing all three. They
ae $30.00 each and you'll need three for that kiln. Skutt part number 0104,
3 heat switch pkg.
Easy fix, Don't just do the bad one you'll end up replacing the others very
soon.
