Topic: "Cone 6R Yellow"
Dear Mr. Schran:
I am completing a sabbatical project I call GLAZE FORWARD.
It consists of more than 20 glazes for cone 6 Reduction
that I have tested and tweaked
over the past 2 semesters.
(Actually tested hundreds!).
This is a not-for-profit project.
I regret that the web site is still not up and running.
The glaze testing is done and 10 sets of tiles are made.
The glazes have yet to be sent away for leach testing.
The tile sets will be shipped to people who sign up and send $10
for the formula booket (once the web-site is up).
Each person who signs on must agree to forward the tiles
to the next person in their area in a timely fashion,
at their own expense (under $10).
That way everyone will get to really SEE and FEEL the glazes.
I have never believed that photographs are sufficient to
evaluate glaze surfaces.
I think the savings in gas and time
are worth the effort of moving to cone 6R.
But you will be able to decide for yourself
when you see the tiles.
Diana Pancioli
(Bill I have sent you a yellow formula privately.)

This is what it is all about. What an opportunity! Fong Choo and I are
about to embark on a series of tests for Cone 6 reduction when I get back
from Australia. It is amazing that Diane has offered to do this.
Ya gotta love it.
Dolita
