One of the best ways to see glaze flaws after firing
is to brush some raw glaze over the fired surface.
Certain flaws are hard to see even with a glass, but
they show up withing seconds with some raw glaze
brushed over. Crackle patterns in particular are
very easy to see on both matt and gloss surfaces,
no matter how large or small the pattern.
