Has anyone tried to make a casting slip out of their Southern Ice porcelain
scraps? I am thinking of trying this. I love the translucency. I have never
made a casting slip but I do have some Darvan7 to defloc. Any thoughts woul=

but it turned out to have no translucency even when cast paper thin.

Hi,
These are links to Alyson Hayes of Australia, who apparently has made a
casting slip from Southern Ice:

(One of the objects shown here was thinly slipcast Southern Ice porcelain;
the others were of slipcast bone china.)
Other images of her work are of objects made of bone china:

I have read that unlike bone china, Southern ice has no bone ash.
