i am very confident that there are several
really good new electric kilns.
i like to think that local help/advice/repair is very
important.
if i lived in the southeastern part of the united states i would
buy an axner kiln. any of them.
quality, good price. excellent service.
if i lived in the west, southwest, i would buy a paragon.
without question.
if i lived in the midwest or east i would buy an L&L.
quality, good service.
i am no longer `totally` committed to skutt.
but, without question..they are still a wonderful
kiln...made with precision. i just believe there is more than
one great kiln maker.
i would look at the quality of the relay system if i were
buying a new computer aided kiln. relay's are the source of
trouble...cheap ones will drive you nuts. make sure the relay
system is covered with the warranty.
so.
if i bought a new kiln tomorrow...i would talk to the folks
at continental clay...mary probably. and that is where
i would pay my money. local. and, i would listen to what
they say.
