I am in the process of trying to decide on what wheel to buy. I am almost
certain I want to get the Thomas Stuart Elite. Does anyone have any strong
opinions? I would espcially like to hear from anyone that might have had
this wheel for a long period of time, or has had the opportunity to throw
on it.

I have read some reviews on the wheel, but they almost always center on
T.S.'s powerful motor and overall quality construction. That's great and
that adds to my opinion of T.S., but I guess that I would like to know
more about the actual throwing experience, pedal response, noises,
ergonomics, etc... Any additional information would be very helpful.

I am also considering buying the SSX drive with the wheel. They say that
it improves pedal sensitivity, overall power, and reduces wheel noise.
Anyone have any knowledge of this drive? I can't decide whether to get it
or not.

Thank you!
Jason

Hi Jason - I have had my elite for almost 6 years now (the second wheel I have
owned in 35 years of throwing) and I love it. Tom put the SSX drive on for me
to test out ( one of the first) and I do feel a difference in the responsiveness
of the motor and foot petal assembly. There is some noise, but it is almost too quiet
for me. I am used to gauging wheel speed by the sound of the motor. I did try the
wheel at different heights until I found the right height for me.
There are also great accessories for this wheel like the shaft extension for
putting on wide bats and the cup-head adaptor (and molds) for plaster bats.
Good luck,
