Paul,
Roger Graham, "The Kiln Exhaust Sniffer, A Do-It-Yourself Oxygen Probe," Ceramics Monthly. You can read it on CM's website.
Good potting!

A few years ago i came across some info in the archives about the poor
man's oxyprobe but i can't find it now. I have a new oxygen sensor for a
gas engine that i don't need and i know you can buy a multimeter at harbor
freight for under $20. I believe the idea is that you mount it in the
chimney instead of in the kiln since these things are not made for that
much heat. But the rest of the details are lost, can anyone help out here?
Do you just attach the sensor to the meter and put it in?
thanks,
Paul

Paul:

I found the initial posting here:

And my search with "oxygen sensor" is here:
S2=clayart&L=CLAYART&q=oxygen+sensor&s=&f=&a=&b=>

I am still going to look that article up in my notebooks and I'll post more
info then.

I just checked the link in the post (the CM article is March 2003, Page
84) and it works just fine.

I'm terribly sorry for not doing that before I posted my first list reply.
Hope it helps, Paul.
